We offer classes for every fitness and experience level, and each class is capped at 15 people so everyone can get the individual attention they need. All classes are first-come, first-served, so please register online, or show up 10 minutes early. Private Group Training Available.

Kickboxing Conditioning:
Combat Athlete Workout

This fast-paced fitness kickboxing class utilizes tried and true kickboxing techniques and functional fitness training methods utilized by combat athletes all over the world. You can expect to sweat, smile, and get in great shape in this 55 minute session while working your way through shadow boxing rounds, agility ladder drills, calisthenics, HIIT rounds, equipment training, partner training, and more.

MKG International’s signature MMA Program, this class blends Thai Boxing, Kali, Dirty Boxing, Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, and Mixed Grappling into one unique and exciting 55min session. You will learn how to use many arts to successfully train one concept as dynamically as possible, as well as develop and educated and intuitive ability to flow from one martial art to the next. More than just your average martial art session, this exciting and unique program is meant to turn each practitioner into a genuine Martial Artist.

Widely considered the grandfather of modern Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Bruce Lee is well-known in the martial art world as the creator of the fighting science and philosophy known as Jeet Kune Do (JKD). This exciting striking program combines elements of Boxing, French Savate Kickboxing, Chinese Wing Chun, and other elements of MMA striking in a single session that will have you feeling fit, moving like an athlete, and learning genuinely functional tools and strategies for self defense.

Learn the Combat Sport of Muay Thai!  Also called "Thai Boxing," Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand, and arguably the most popular style of real kickboxing in the world today. Our technical Thai Boxing classes will educate you on the best ways to combine kicks, punches, knees, and elbow strikes. Training is done safely on pads or in cooperative partner drills. This class is appropriate for anyone looking to learn basic and intermediate Thai Boxing skills as a beneficial vehicle for self defense training, a fantastic full-body workout, mental and physical discipline, and the shared experience of overcoming challenges with your teammates in class.


MKG Thai Boxing:

The combat conditioning portion of our MKG Muay Thai program, this class is truly unique to MKG schools worldwide. Known in-house as “Drill Rounds,” you will use a rotating series of fun, exciting, and always effective Muay Thai Kickboxing techniques and combinations in a boxing rounds format that emulates the pace and timing structure of an actual ringsport contest!


MKG Grappling:
Beginner and Intermediate No-Gi Grappling for Self Defense and Martial Art Fitness

This class covers essential and creative concepts from any contact that happens in close range while standing or on the ground. Surviving a physical confrontation on the ground is a critical element to any self defense program, and also offer a full-body workout that is unlike any other form of strength and fitness training. This class is safe, suitable for all levels, and utilizes drills and chains from combat sports like BJJ, Shooto, and MMA, as well as combat arts like Kali, Silat, and Jeet Kune Do.


Filipino Dirty Boxing:
Panantukan, Silat, & Boxing

In this exciting and technical training session, you will develop the ability to deploy creative striking, joint manipulations, limb destructions, and off-balancing techniques for self defense, as well as how to use these techniques as a combat athlete. Always a group favorite, MKG Dirty Boxing is one of the most unique martial art training experiences in the entire Detroit area.


Filipino Kali:
The Art of Stick & Blade

This class safely utilizes weaponry (sticks, short and long blades, impact weapons) and mobility training to improve your reflexes, cognitive function, and ability to defend yourself and your loved ones. Exciting drills and patterns creatively teach you the various speeds, distances, and tools of simulated combat, while dramatically improving your familiarization with targets and weapons of opportunity. Taught to everyone from elite military units to Hollywood actors and stunt professionals, Filipino Kali is one of the most effective, exciting, and fascinating martial arts you will find.     


MKG Trapping:

This technical class focuses on upgrading your body and mind’s natural coordination, rhythm, timing, awareness, and ability to move and strike creatively and deceptively. Drills and techniques in this class come from Jeet Kune Do, WIng Chun, Muay Thai, Filipino Kali, Silat, Panantukan, Dumog, and even Wrestling. A truly unique martial art and martial science training opportunity that will bring your hand-eye coordination and fighting abilities to new heights.

Monday KICKBOXING

Learn the basics of Kickboxing and Boxing in this 55 minute class that is both technical and fitness-oriented. This class is designed for all experience levels, but is particularly suited to those who are brand new to martial art, or are looking for a refresher.

Monday FILIPINO KALI
6:00pm - 7:00pm

This 55 minute session offers instruction in basic weaponry movements, techniques, and concepts. This class is perfect for those looking to start or renew their training in Filipino Martial Art, known worldwide for it’s exceptional benefits to cognition, mobility, coordination, and personal protection.
