The Michigan Kali Group

Join us at MKG Detroit for a 4-Week Course investigating the art and science of the fighting method of Antonio "Tatang" Ilustrisimo, one of the Philippines' most legendary and respected Eskrimadors. The Monday extra-curricular series will cover many aspects of this diverse art, with a particular emphasis on the training method known in KI as "Amarra."

This series is appropriate for any and all experience levels, but some background in KI or other styles of Kali/Arnis/Escrima will prove helpful. Please bring a notebook, pen, two sticks (or training sword/s), and a training dagger to each session.  Hand and eye protection is, as always, highly suggested but not required.

NOTE: The first 3 sessions of the Series will be taught by Michigan's primary resource for Kalis Ilustrisimo, Guro Fred Bigliardi. The 4th and final session will be a review of the previous weeks' content led by Guro Kurt Cornwell, owner and head instructor of MKG Detroit Martial Arts and student of Guro Fred. Registration will include access to all four sessions. No single-session registration will be offered. Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the closing of the Series.

4 Consecutive Mondays:
March 26th 7:30pm-9pm
April 2nd 7:30-9pm
April 9th 7:30-9pm
April 16th 7:30-9pm
