Coach Kurt

Kurt Cornwell has been a fixture in Metro Detroit’s martial art and kickboxing community since 2013. He is locally known as the Founder and Head Coach of MKG Detroit, a popular and highly regarded local martial art organization, as well as for his appearances on Detroit television, podcasts, and various public speaking events. He created Boombox as a community center that brings everyday people into the practice of Martial Arts, and brings Artists of different mediums together under one roof.

Child and Family Therapist in Metro Detroit, Amariah combines her decades of experience supporting children and parents with her expertise as a professional Martial Arts Instructor, Yoga Instructor, and Mindfulness Coach. These modalities combined with her experience as a mother of 3 children and as a parent of special needs (neurodivergent) children into a truly unique skill set.
